Thank you for your interest in our research group. This website serves exclusively to provide information about our research, our team, and our clinical activities. There is no login, no forms, and no cookies – the site can be used entirely without providing any personal data. Only if you actively contact us by email do we process the data you send us.

This website does not use cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics). Fonts are hosted locally on our own server, so no connection to third-party providers such as Google Fonts is established when the page is loaded. Embedded maps (OpenStreetMap) only load after a deliberate click, so no data is transmitted to the map provider unless you actively click to load it.
When you access this website, our hosting provider (STRATO) automatically and technically collects information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, the page accessed, date and time of access, and the IP address. These server log files are evaluated via the statistics feature included in our STRATO hosting package (Webalizer/AWStats) to generate general visitor statistics (e.g. page views, countries of origin, browsers used). This evaluation is based exclusively on server log files that are generated automatically anyway – no cookies are set and no individual usage profiles of specific persons are created or tracked across devices. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technical security, error analysis, and statistical evaluation of the website's operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you contact us by email, the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of the message) will be processed and stored exclusively to handle your inquiry. Your data will not be shared with third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (processing of your inquiry / legitimate interest in communication). The data will be deleted once it is no longer required to handle your inquiry, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. It is then routinely deleted.
Within the scope of applicable law, you have the following rights: access to your stored data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. Simply contact us using the address given above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
